C-DOT says Repairs to U.S. 36 May Take Several Days

It could take several days for highway crews to repair a large crack in the road between Wadsworth and Church Ranch on Eastbound Highway 36 in Westminster. The Colorado Department of Transportation is asking motorists to prepare for significant traffic problems and avoid the area if at all possible. Spokesman Matt Inzeo says people should consider combining or skipping travel trips, especially during morning and evening rush hours. You're asked to work from home if that's possible. C-DOT says alternate routes are the Northwest Parkway toll road to I-25, and SH 93 to SH 58 connecting to I-70. RTD is also offering free service on the Flat Iron Flyer and LD bus routes while the road is closed. Go to http://www.rtd-denver.com/Schedules.shtml#bus for more information.
