CDOT Crews Working On Solutions For Boulder Turnpike

CDOT is working on a solution for the Boulder Turnpike. The eastbound lanes of U.S. 36 are shut down after shifting land caused some serious damage in recent days. CDOT says it's going to shift all traffic to the westbound lanes in the affected area in Westminster. So far, there's no word on when that will happen. The agency hopes to have work completed in the coming days. It's believed wet weather caused the land underneath the roadway to shift, which then buckled the cement. Pictures from the scene show something that could be described as being out of a Hollywood disaster movie.
