CDOT Approves $20.4M For U.S. 36 Repairs

The Colorado Department of Transportation will move forward with repairs to U.S. 36 that were caused by a sinkhole. CDOT took 20-point-four-million dollars from a contingency fund yesterday and plans to use it to pay for emergency repairs to the roadway near Westminster. Four-hundred-thousand of that will go toward the initial emergency response to the situation. A contractor has already been picked for the work, which will take weeks to complete.
