Firefighters Gain Slight Containment of Hunt Fire

Fire officials say they now have 10% containment of the Hunt fire in northwest Colorado. It's estimated at about 2,600 acres, burning on BLM land about 26 miles southwest of the town of Meeker. Cool, rainy weather in Rio Blanco county today should help fire crews, although they're also expecting wind gusts up to 30 miles-per-hour. Firefighters are focusing on protecting gas pipelines, historic cabins, and power poles.

There are nearly 100 firefighters working the fire, with several engines and a helicopter. It's been burning since last Thursday night, and is believed to have been caused by lightning.
