The time has come.

KOA has confirmed Drew Lock will be the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Friday afternoon, KOA NFL Insider Benjamin Allbright tweeted Lock would start and KOA Broncos Insider Brandon Krisztal confirmed that Saturday night.

9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis reported that Saturday afternoon the Lock would be the starter versus the Chargers and ESPN's Adam Schefter did the same Saturday night.

Lock, 23, sprained his right thumb in the preseason and the Broncos placed him on injured reserve on September 1. The club then designated him to return on November 12.

Now the Broncos will activate him and put him under center this Sunday in what will be his first regular season action.

Lock played in three preseason games and completed 31-of-52 passes for 254 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed six times for 20 yards.

The Broncos traded up in the second round to select Lock 42nd overall in the 2019 draft.

He was a three-year starter at Missouri and racked up 12,193 career passing yards. He also threw 99 touchdown passes and only 39 interceptions.

Wednesday, November 27, Lock spoke with reporters at UCHealth Training Center, before it was known he would be the starting quarterback.
