The Denver Broncos started slowly. But once they revved their engine, they were no match for the Detroit Lions.

The Broncos rallied from an early 10-point deficit and beat the Lions, 27-17, Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High.

Detroit used Matt Prater's 26-yard field goal and a 64-yard punt return for a touchdown by Jamal Agnew to grab a 10-0 lead with 10:52 left in the second quarter.

The Broncos then turned on the jets. They scored on five consecutive possessions. Phillip Lindsay capped the outburst with a 27-yard touchdown run with 6:39 left in the game to give the Broncos a 27-17 lead and the Broncos had secured their third win in the last four games.

Quarterback Drew Lock brushed off a slow start and completed 25-of-33 passes for 192 yards and one touchdown. The Broncos cranked up the running game and piled up 150 yards, with Lindsay rushing for 109.

The Broncos defense did its part, too, holding Detroit to 191 yards of total offense.

The Broncos raise their record to 6-9 while the Lions fall to 3-11-1.
