Busy Holiday Week Expected On Mountain Corridor

Travelers hitting the road this week are expected to see heavy traffic along the I-70 mountain corridor. CDOT says drivers will need to leave early and have plenty of patience. Last year, nearly 300-thousand vehicles passed through the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial tunnels during Christmas week. In addition to traffic issues, there will likely be closures eastbound in the Floyd Hill area during the morning hours. Sun glare becomes a huge problem from sunrise to about 8:30 a.m. daily.
