FBI Director James Comey's answers to Congress on Monday could hardly have been any worse for Donald Trump. He or his White House team are digging his hole even deeper by tweeting way too much, saying stuff that everybody knows is misleading. In fact, a congressman read a @POTUS tweet which was sent out during the hearing to Comey during the hearing and he said that the tweet mischaracterized his words.
In short, Comey said that Pres. Obama never ordered surveillance of Donald Trump and that there is an investigation into members of the Trump campaign and their possible ties to Russia.
That said, liberals are going way too far saying that it's unfair that Comey made public statements about an investigation into Hillary during the campaign but didn't announce the investigation into Trump associates even though it began in July. But there's a BIG difference: it's fairly clear that the investigation is NOT into Mr. Trump himself whereas it's obvious to any honest observer that Hillary Clinton broke rules and laws.
One of the interesting parts of the James Comey/Mike Rogers testimony before Congress on Monday was this questioning by Rep. Trey Gowdy:
Also on Monday, Judge Neil Gorsuch gave an opening statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee. He will face questions from senators on Tuesday. It was interesting that one of his three introducers was Neal Katyal, a liberal lawyer who was President Obama's Solicitor General and is heading Hawaii's legal assault on Donald Trump's executive order restricting travel from those six majority-Muslim countries.
Still, here come the Boulder liberals after Gorsuch, himself from Boulder:
Is there a weaker attack on the man over that?
What did you expect from a guy who legally changed his name to "War Machine"? Even a porn star should know better:
