The Rundown - Wednesday, April 19, 2017: Reuben goes under the knife; How to raise successful kids - your advice to me; Is O'Reilly on the way out?; Would you smoke pot with your adult children?

Yesterday, our 7-month old puppy Reuben became slightly less of a man, if you know what I mean. He came home sore, confused, and a little groggy. Lili, truly the most tender-hearted person you'll ever meet, at least when it comes to animals (which she claims to like more than she likes humans), lay down next to him to comfort the little guy. They fell asleep together, and the house has rarely been more peaceful.

I like this article with ideas for parents to raise successful kids. We're just about the start on #1 in a structured sort of way, which we should have done much sooner. What's your #1 piece of advice for raising a kid you're proud of, and what's the #1 thing you learned about parenting from your parents?

Two stories about Bill O'Reilly to talk about. One which reflects better on him that Wendy Walsh suggests, and another which implies that his goose might be cooked anyway:

Would you smoke pot with your (young) adult kids like musician Melissa Etheridge does?
