A personal note: I had a great trip to Chicago even though I was there for well under 24 hours, attending a gala event celebrating the retirement of many senior executives of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, where I was a trader from 1987 until 2001. I've known most of these folks for 30 years...crazy!
President Trump's first foreign trip began with a welcome to Saudi Arabia, including participating in a traditional "sword dance". Fox News' Chris Wallace told Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that he looked more comfortable at the event than the president did, to which Tillerson said "This was not my first sword dance."
I was extremely impressed with President Trump's speech (transcript here), which you can see in its entirety below. The left was eager for things to criticize, and I'm ignoring them except to point out this fact.
The president arrived in Israel just before 5 AM MT on Monday and will soon be the first US president to visit the Western Wall. A little more info about the Western Wall here:
The Rene Lima-Marin story is an unbelievable roller-coaster.
After Judge Samour ordered his release last week, ICE announced they were holding him and aiming to deport him to Cuba, a country he left when he was TWO years old. Then on Friday, Governor Hickenlooper issued a full pardon to Lima-Marin, intending to stop the deportation. 18th Judicial District DA George Brauchler is statutorily part of the process the governor must follow to issue clemency or a pardon for a case which was originally tried in that judicial district.
George Brauchler joins the show at 6:36 to talk about why he believes Hickenlooper's pardon was unlawful.
Many of my listeners are frustrated and angry and even frightened by what they've seen in their new property values, on which our property taxes are based.
At 7:36 AM, we'll talk with Arapahoe County Assessor Marc Scott about the huge increases in property values in many areas, and what that likely means for our property taxes.
