The Rundown - Monday, 6/17/17: Adm James Stavridis!; Fathers Day thoughts

On Sunday evening, NBC News aired Megyn Kelly's interview of InfoWars proprietor and conspiracy theory peddler Alex Jones. Yes, it's possible that there was deceptive editing but based on how Jones speaks during his own broadcasts, I believe the interview fairly represents their conversation. You can decide for yourself. Personally I think Jones is irredeemable and I'm extremely disappointed that anybody follows this man. I wish I were surprised that President Trump is one of them.

Alex Jones claimed to have released the full unedited video but actually represented nothing more than a few recordings of pre-interview conversations combined with almost half an hour of filler. This guy is a liar every single day of the year.

Seven sailors who were originally missing after a US Navy guided missile destroyer collided with a massive Japanese cargo ship have been found dead inside compartments of the USS Fitzgerald.

This will be among the things we talk about with our very special guest, at 6:36 AM and 8:36 AM, Admiral James Stavridis, the only admiral ever to serve as the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, and author of the interesting and enjoyable new book "Sea Power: The History and Geopolitics of the World's Oceans."

I'll also ask him about this: Pentagon: U.S. shoots down a Syrian aircraft for the first time

I just learned about this blog:
