The Rundown - Fri 7/28/17: McCain kills healthcare reform; Mooch's mouth

7:06 AM Guest

One of my pet peeves when I travel is hotel "resort fees". They're spreading like a cancer, as consumer advocate Chris Elliott notes in his recent article for the Washington Post:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/travel/hotel-resort-fees-hidden-charges-bemoaned-by-travelers-are-climbing-higher-than-ever/2017/07/20/a56256d0-68b1-11e7-a1d7-9a32c91c6f40_story.html?utm_term=.3829769367f5

7:45 AM Guest: Dr. Lori Reisig of Littleton West Animal Hospital joins us to answer one of this week's "I've been wondering" questions asked by a listener: Why does a neutered male dog still hump my daughter's pillow?

8:15 Guest: Comedian Nikki Glaser in studio! We'll do some Facebook Live. I'll give away two pairs of tickets during today's show for any of her Friday night or Saturday night shows at Comedy Works South at the Landmark. See video below for some of Nikki's comedy and check this link for showtime and ticket information: https://comedyworks.com/comedians/nikki-glaser

With this thumbs-down, Senator John McCain cemented his reputation as a man so bent on "bipartisanship" that he's willing to harm the nation to get to it.

My reaction:

In a most expletive-filled way, new White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci proved that he's not ready for prime time and that comms probably isn't the right place for him. That said, I bet President Trump is loving it. Check out this incredible article by Ryan Lizza of the New Yorker. (Note that it is full of foul and graphic language.)

Ben Shapiro, who will join our show Monday morning at 9:06 AM, gave some great testimony to Congress yesterday regarding the assault on the First Amendment on college campuses.

Here's some of Nikki Glaser's comedy...but definitely be warned that Nikki live definitely has plenty of R-rated and X-rated stuff!
