Some great guests Tuesday:
In reverse order...
At 8:36 we'll talk to Jeff Hunt of Colorado Christian University about his op-ed in USA Today in which he argues that marijuana legalization is harming Colorado and should not be followed nationwide.
At 7:36 we'll be joined by Colorado Republican Party Chairman Jeff Hays to talk about rumblings among some Republicans (but not by Hays) that they'd like to see the party cancel it's 2018 primary election now that unaffiliated voters would be allowed to participate.
And I'll ask Jeff: Can we get a shout-out, first name only, for your employee who did this?
I'm talking about the embrace of big gov/small gov switch. 50's was civil rights swap. https://t.co/Y5fzgHaYT3— Soledad O'Brien (@soledadobrien) August 6, 2017
How can 50s have been "civil rights swap" when Rs fought slavery in 1860s and voted in larger % than Ds for Civil Rights Act in 1960s? https://t.co/Ja0AKmFrXK— The Colorado GOP (@cologop) August 6, 2017
It's hard not to smile at President Trump's reaction to CT Dem Sen Richard Blumenthal:
Interesting to watch Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut talking about hoax Russian collusion when he was a phony Vietnam con artist!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 7, 2017
This is certainly an exaggeration (and some people might say Pres Trump is projecting), but still...
Never in U.S.history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Senator Richard Blumenthal. He told stories about his Vietnam battles and....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 7, 2017
...conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 7, 2017
Blumenthal responded to a reporter's question later in the day, and believe it or not a reporter actually said that Blumenthal had made "admitted misstatements". Blumenthal responds with a non-sequitur.
Trump heard the response and gave one of his own:
I think Senator Blumenthal should take a nice long vacation in Vietnam, where he lied about his service, so he can at least say he was there— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 7, 2017
Oh, how about a little fake news for you? Liberals are gleefully touting that the first video below shows President Trump ignoring a handicapped boy trying to shake his hand, but actually Trump spent time talking to the boy earlier and the boy wasn't trying to shake his hand.
Here's the real story:
And see the second video below for what really happened minutes before the fake news...
