The Rundown - Weds 8/9/17: On the brink with North Korea?

First: Glen Campbell passed away yesterday at the age of 81 due to Alzheimer's Disease. Thought I'd share with you this touching music video by his daughter, Ashley, entitled "Remembering"

And here's Glen Campbell singing about knowing what that disease is doing to him:

And of course, some classic Campbell:

President Trump reacted Tuesday to a Washington Post report that at least one US intelligence agency believes that North Korea has "miniaturized" a nuclear warhead sufficiently to deliver it by missile.

Trump's language hearkens back somewhat to Harry Truman's statement immediately after he ordered a nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima (and before he ordered a second one dropped on Nagasaki.)

The North Korean gov't said that they are considering a military strike on Guam, where the US has a major Air Force base and a major Navy base (where my father was stationed when I lived on Guam as a child.)

How did this work out for us?

Here's the memo from the Google engineer that got him fired. Doesn't seem like a firing offense to me. But the irony of the fury of a "diversity officer" never loses its power...

Don't you just hate it when men won't stand up for themselves?

But at least the tax is voluntary (which isn't mentioned in every article about this...)

Seriously, why are so many people, including so many members of Congress, as ignorant as Homer Simpson?
