Donald Trump's ire with the media reaction to his reaction to Charlottesville came into full view yesterday with a heated press conference in which Trump repeatedly insulted the reporters in the room while explaining his views on blame "on both sides."

I'm sure Trump's base voters absolutely loved it. As for me, I think Trump's comments weren't outrageous in terms of facts or even his overall approach, at least not outrageous by Trump standards. But I continue to marvel at how he's willing to distract himself and his administration away from important things in order to bolster his own ego. Still, the media reaction to his comments on Tuesday was a frenzy that was simply not justified by what the president actually said.
