The Rundown - Friday 8/18/17: Barcelona; Rob Schneider; chocolate!

Great guests Friday!

7:06 AM: Julie Pech, proprietor of The Chocolate Therapist in Littleton. I've eaten some of her chocolate and it is addictive and wonderful. But why is chocolate so great, really? And what are current chocolate trends?

7:36 AM: Peter Brimelow is the Editor of VDare.com. Peter and his web site are considered by some as part of the alt-right. I'd like to have the conversation directly rather than making any assumptions. We'll ask Peter interesting and pointed questions about "white nationalism", the "alt-right", immigration policy and more, including about this week's news that the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs has canceled its contract to host a VDare conference there next year.

And at 8:40 AM, we'll be joined in studio by Rob Schneider, of SNL and Deuce Bigalow fame. Rob is playing at Comedy Works South at the Landmark on Friday and Saturday nights. More show and ticket info here: https://comedyworks.com/comedians/rob-schneider

Yet another terror attack with a vehicle in Spain, part of what appears to have been a small cell with plans that involved more than just driving a van into a crowded tourist pedestrian area.

The most stupid reaction to the event came from exactly where you'd expect, two of the worst broadcasters on television:

We'll also talk more about post-Charlottesville thoughts and the ongoing political impact of President Trump's reaction to that horrible Saturday. Trump supporters don't like my view that Trump's reaction represents the single biggest political mistake he's ever made.

Here's one reaction:https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/16/business/trumps-council-ceos.html
