The Rundown - Thurs 9/7/17: Tom Tancredo; Weird reactions to Hurricane Irma

Last year, Coloradans voted to allow unaffiliated voters to participate in party primaries (they have to choose a party; can't participate in both.) Some Republican activists and leaders, including Ben Nichols, think the best plan for the state GOP now is to simply cancel its primary election. We'll talk about it with Ben at 7:36 AM.

At 8:06 I'll be joined in studio by former Congressman Tom Tancredo to discuss/debate DACA, "dreamers", and more.

The DACA debate continues apace, with President Trump saying he has a "great heart" for the so-called Dreamers. Democrats complain about "playing politics with these kids" and then do that very thing.

Separate from the DACA question, President Trump threw a(nother) bomb into the Republican-led Congress on Wednesday by taking a position on a 3-month debt limit extension that lined up perfectly with what Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi wanted, and which Speaker of the House Paul Ryan had just hours earlier called "ridiculous and disgraceful." (See videos below)

Don't let idiot conspiracy theorists tell you that Irma isn't a monster. It might not hit Florida with this force, but that doesn't mean it isn't a Category 5 nightmare.
