President Trump announced the outline of a tax reform plan. I think it's fair-to-middling. Better than what we have now, but not bold enough on the personal side and not enough detail yet. Here's a half-decent discussion despite the reflexively liberal host:

Perry Pendley of the Mountain States Legal Foundation is suing the state of Colorado in an effort to protect taxpayers. We'll talk with Perry at 7:06 about his plan and just what he's trying to accomplish.

At 8:36, my mom -- a pediatrician and retired US Navy rear admiral -- joins to the show to talk about an issue she cares a lot about and some progress she and her friends are making on the issue: reducing the use of painful animal testing for medical research. It will be interesting to see whether President Trump remains willing to benefit a small number of union workers over many thousands of suffering Puerto Ricans. And in the long term whether he's willing to benefit those union workers over millions of Americans who could pay lower prices on things we buy every day:
