The Rundown - Mon 1/8/18: Richard Haass on "A World in Disarray"

HELP!!! I've accepted my wife's challenge to be on a "plant-based diet" aka vegan for 2 weeks. It's not terrible so far, but it's so...meat-free. How do I get through it?!?

--------

Our special guest at 8:06 AM is Dr. Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations and one of the most important American voices on foreign policy:https://www.cfr.org/experts/richard-n-haass

We'll talk with him about his book, "A World in Disarray", recently released in paperback with an afterword discussing the impact of the Trump presidency (so far) on international relations and "world order."

Oprah made some news at the Golden Globes last night with a rousing speech supporting girls and women and appreciating the recent changes against abuse in our society. NBC responded with a slightly confusing tweet:

The left finds these extremely concerning. I find them hilarious, given that we already know that Donald Trump's ego is perhaps the world's largest:

I have to say, I just LOVE the "first try" jab at Hillary Clinton (and perhaps at Mitt Romney as well).

The Washington Post really didn't want to report this:
Black unemployment falls to lowest level on record

Could this be related?
Final Obama regulation bill: $24 billion in last 16 days, Trump $5.8 billion over 11 months

Can you imagine libertarian or conservative supporters of property rights and free markets reacting this way?
