The NY Times reported yesterday that Trump wanted to fire Bob Mueller back in June, but was stopped by a resignation threat from White House Counsel Don McGhan:

I think Trump should talk with Mueller, but not under oath, however, even just whether or not to talk to Mueller is a very close call for better lawyers than I.


Trump's former friends at Breitbart have taken to calling him Amnesty Don after the president announced his support for a path to citizenship for "Dreamers". On Thursday, the White House laid out their framework for what they'd like in an immigration deal. It's too far to the right to pass and limits legal immigration too much to be good for the country. It's almost as if we've seen just the latest example of Trump saying something and then having the most conservative advisers around him drag him to where they want him to be.
