The Rundown-Weds 2/8/18: CO caucus; Cohn resigns; Korea; Steven Pinker

In addition to all the stuff below, we'll talk about the results of the Colorado caucuses, my ridiculous Tuesday, and lots of other things!

Today's guests:

6:34 AM: Former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense Jed Babbin on the rumblings coming out of South Korea that North Korea has agreed to stop nuclear and missile testing and to engage in talks about "denuclearization". Color me skeptical.

7:14 AM: Dr. Steven Pinker is one of the most important thinkers of my lifetime. His new book, Enlightenment Now, is a fascinating read...though I'll say up front that deeply religious people will probably find it less appealing than I do.

At 7:48 AM we'll talk with Jim McGreevy, president and CEO of the Beer Institute, about the potential impact of the Trump aluminum tariff on the beer industry. A graphic on their web page as I write this says it will cost the industry more than $340 million a year.

Gary Cohn, President Trump's chief economic advisor (and a Democrat), has announced his resignation in the wake of (but apparently not due to) Trump's boneheaded support of tariffs on imported steel and aluminum.
