I actually think that pressuring China regarding their persistent covert or overt theft of American intellectual property is a worthwhile goal. But I think Trump is getting very bad advice from Peter Navarro, his key advisor on trade (for now, at least), who is a life-long Democrat and Clinton/Gore lover. 

LOTS of people wanted H.R. McMaster out as National Security Advisor. They got their wish on Thursday when Donald Trump announced that McMaster would be replaced by former UN Ambassador John Bolton who scares the heck out of Democrats and the Iranian government.
