House conservatives spike farm bill - for wrong reasons: The Rundown 5/22

Great guests today:

6:10 AM Chris Edwards, director of tax policy studies at the Cato Institute, joins to talk about the good, the bad and the ugly in the latest version of the Farm Bill -- which was temporarily blocked by the House Freedom Caucus at the end of last week, but not for the right reasons:

More grist for your mill:

7:06 AM Katrina Managan is the Energy Efficient Buildings Lead for the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment - Environmental Quality Division and as such is in charge of implementing the ridiculous "Green Roof Initiative" which ridiculous Denver voters passed last November despite the measure being essentially unworkable. Now, the city is looking to make changes to the ordinance, but what will those changes really mean?

On Monday, Netflix announced that they're partnering with former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama to produce and perhaps appear in a range of shows/movies. While the conservative wing of social media reacted negatively (as did I), I doubt that the calls for canceling Netflix will amount to much. That said, I doubt anything the Obamas do will amount to much. After all, their presidency didn't.

OK, this is just too ridiculous not to tell you about:

If you’re an employer, especially at a medium or large business, the Supreme Court gave you a win yesterday, and the left is pissed

The Dems’ 2018 strategy...will it work or is it a sign of desperation? (I think it's the latter, though history is on their side during the midterm elections.)
