What's worse: using the c-word or apologizing for doing so?-The Rundown 6/1

Guests Friday:

6:47 AM DIA spokesperson extraordinaire Stacey Stegman will join us to let us know what's going on with the airport's massive $1.5 billion expansion. What should we expect...and for how long?

7:06 AM James Cook (Not the guy who discovered Australia) is the director of retail research for JLL, the largest 3rd-party retail real estate manager in the US. We'll talk about some interesting research his firm has done about what brick-and-mortar stores must to do compete with online shopping, and which companies are doing great (and terrible) jobs of it.

I basically can't post most of the tweets I'll talk about on the show because they're filled with horrendous vulgarity from liberals, parroting the horrendous vulgarity of so-called comedian Samantha Bee who offered a literally unbelievable apology after calling Ivanka Trump a "feckless c***" on her Wednesday show. If you can handle it, go look up Sally Fields' tweet in response to Bee's apology. I have a LOT to say about my time on Twitter on Thursday.

President Trump took a big step toward starting a trade war on Thursday. I've been saying for a long time that people who are claiming that it's all a big negotiation are wrong. Trump really believes in tariffs. Here's a quote from a Politico article about Trump's decision to end waivers from steel and aluminum waivers for the EU, Canada and Mexico: "'These tariffs are on. They’re not bargaining chips. They’re not negotiating ploys,' said one person familiar with the president’s thinking, applauding him for finally deciding to hit the EU, Canada and Mexico with the duties."

This is the single biggest policy mistake Trump can make and poses the single biggest policy-based threat to his re-election and to Republican majorities...which is why you see quite a few Republican members of Congress willing to disagree in public.

Try this on for size, tariff lovers: https://qz.com/1293821/trump-trade-war-146000-us-job-will-be-lost-to-steel-tariffs/
