I'm not big on boycotts but I'm tempted to make an exception for this bank

The BNP Paribas group, which owns Bank of the West, has taken a fairly radical anti-fossil-fuel position for banking services it will provide.

One aspect of it: "We will no longer finance coal mines or coal-fired power plants that are not actively involved in the energy transition."

Now this policy is having an impact in a small coal mining town in Colorado and the people (and their local government) are pushing back.

This is an important story as it fits into the pattern of the left trying to deny financial and banking services to companies they don't like.
