Senator Cory Booker who is almost certainly running for president made an enormous show of "breaking the rules" by releasing "committee confidential" documents to the public. It turned out that the documents had already been cleared for public release. Booker says he is continuing to release documents that are not cleared for release.
But it's a tough call whether the GOP should go after Booker here. The documents should probably never have been given to the committee but once they were they don't seem sensitive enough to keep from the public. But the bigger point is that Booker WANTS the attention as he panders to the "resist Trump at every turn" angry base of the Democratic Party for the 2020 presidential nomination.
I'd love to see him suspended from the committee, but even that might just make him a martyr, or at least a guy who plays one on TV.
