Democratic and Republican lawmakers are working on a police reform bill.

Bipartisan talks began Thursday after President Biden urged Congress to act before the May 25th anniversary of the police custody death of George Floyd.

Those taking the lead include Republican Senators Tim Scott and Lindsay Graham of South Carolina, Democratic Senators Cory Booker of New Jersey and Dick Durbin of Illinois, and California Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass.

Members of Floyd's family as well as relatives of other victims of police violence were also on hand at the White House as talks took place.
