Man Sacrifices Tesla to Help Driver, Elon Musk Pays for Damages

MAN SACRIFICES HIS TESLA TO SAVE ANOTHER MAN’S LIFE

 Feb 16, 2017

Elon Musk has agreed to pay damages for the Tesla driver who sacrificed his car to save a man’s life.

Incident

Yesterday Manfred Kick was driving his Tesla Model S on the autobahn near Munich, when he saw a car swerve and slam against a guard rail multiple times, obviously out-of-control. Kick decided to slow down and figure out what was going on.

He pulled up next to the out of control car when he saw the driver’s body lying motionless, his body was slumped forward, and his arms and head were hanging lifelessly. Kick made an unbelievable split second decision, he decided to stop the spinning car with his Tesla.

Before Kirk swerved his Tesla in front of the out of control Volkswagen and hitting his breaks, he called the fire department. The driver braced for impact when the other car crashed against his precious car. Kirk later said that for him the choice was clear, that he had no other option but to slow the out of control car down.

Shortly after the impact, both cars came to a stop. Kirk climbed out of his car to help the unconscious Volkswagen driver.

Two more rivers came to Kirk’s aid, the three of them were able to stabilize the unconscious driver who was breathing heavily and was unable to speak. The fire department arrived right after, they stated to reporters that the man is now stable and that he had suffered a stroke.

Gratitude

Ellon Musk has decided to cover Kirk’s expenses. Tesla’s creator himself went on Twitter and let everyone know that his company would provide all repair costs, around $10,600, free of charge.

This could be a PR stunt, or a true act of kindness stemming out of Musk’s heart. Whatever the case may be, Kick’s selfless actions are a much needed reminder that good actions don’t go ignored.
