The earthquake was centered in Beluga at a depth of 83.3 kilometers (about 52 miles). The USGS said it received 1,419 reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.

The Nikolski earthquake was reported two days hours after a 4.2-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska on Thursday (April 17), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Nikolski at a depth of 29 kilometers (about 18 miles).

The Nikolski earthquake was reported hours after a 4.1-magnitude earthquake in Alaska on Wednesday (April 16), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Dutch Harbor at a depth of 272 kilometers (about 169 miles).

The Alaska earthquakes were reported hours after a 6.6-magnitude earthquake was reported on the southeast Indian Ridge on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles).

The southeast Indian Ridge earthquake was reported days after a 4.0-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on Monday (April 14), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Julian in San Diego County, at a depth of 12.6 kilometers (about 7.9 miles).

The earthquake was among the aftershocks of a 5.2-magnitude earthquake reported in Julian on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The initial earthquake was centered at a depth of 13.4 kilometers (about eight miles) with more than 41,000 reports of people having felt it.

At least seven aftershocks were reported immediately after the initial earthquake, CBS News reports. The earthquake was reported to be felt in Orange County, Temecula and the Inland Empire, as well as several other places in California on Monday.
