Daron Acemoglu (MIT Econ): Automation is driving down blue-collar wages

It's not surprising that automation is hurting the wages of workers with only a high-school (or less) education. What might be surprising in the new data from MIT economist Daron Acemoglu is that automation is responsible for "more than half" of that decline in wages...more than the rise of China and the decline of private-sector unions combined.
