FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee to provide lawmakers with an update on the investigation into the assassination attempt of Donald Trump.

During Wray's appearance, Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio asked the FBI director if the agency had accounted for all the bullets fired at the scene.

When Wray answered, he appeared to cast doubt on whether or not Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet and suggested his ear as sliced open by shrapnel.

“With respect to former president Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear,” Wray said. “As I sit here right now, I don’t know whether that bullet… in addition to causing the grazing could have landed somewhere else.”

“But I believe we’ve accounted for all the shots in the cartridges," Wray added.

Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung pushed back against Wray's assertion that the former president was not shot in the ear.

“Anyone who believes this conspiracy b******* is either mentally deficient or willfully peddling falsehoods for political reasons,” Cheung told The New York Post.

“We have seen there is no depth low enough for the Biden-Harris Administration. So it’s not surprising they are doing this now,” he added.
