Very short note today because I caught a head cold from my kid and am taking the day off, and I'd already planned to be off Monday to go visit my mom but we'll see if the storm prevents me from getting out of town over the weekend.
Have a wonderful, safe, and warm weekend, folks
The election was three days ago and we even got one Senate result yesterday – a win for the Republican in Pennsylvania – and we’re still waiting on quite a few House results, especially in California. But somehow, to me, it feels oddly long ago. I know that’s kinda dumb but maybe it’s just the fact that there’s no more campaigning. No more insane commercials calling one candidate or another dangerous or socialist or fascist or whatever. No more breathless media coverage of every Trump gaffe and of almost no Harris gaffes. It feels, and I realize this could just be me, and this isn’t something I’d normally say as we enter a new Trump era, but maybe we just took a step toward getting back to normal? In any case, rarely have I felt more like saying “TGIF” than today.
